WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? Just outside North Augusta, potholes line the right lane on the southbound side of Edgefield Road (U.S. 25) near Penn Street. One tipster complained that the area has been that way for several years.
WHO'S RESPONSIBLE? The South Carolina Department of Transportation's Aiken Office maintains Edgefield Road. Kelvin Oglesby, the resident manager, said his office typically tries to patch potholes within 24 hours of them being reported. Their office can be reached at (803) 641-7665.
WHAT'S BEING DONE ? Mr. Oglesby said he would have a crew examine the area and possibly patch the holes.
