CROSS CREEK 21, BUTLER 14
PLAY OF THE GAME: After Butler tied the score at 14 in the fourth quarter, Cross Creek junior Terrell Woods ran the ensuing kickoff back 85 yards for the winning score.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: In addition to the winning TD, Woods had a hand in the Razorbacks' two other scores. In the second quarter, he scored on a 12-yard dash, and early in the fourth, he threw a 25-yard strike to Kenny Drayton , who caught it in the end zone. Woods finished with 157 yards on 21 carries.
WHY BUTLER LOST: The Bulldogs (0-4) had an opportunity to snap their 34-game losing streak dating back to 2005. But they failed to stop Woods on the kickoff in the fourth.
WHY CROSS CREAK WON: The Razorbacks (1-2) had enough to turn back Butler, thanks to Woods. But they lost four fumbles and committed 23 penalties for 172 yards. They almost gave the game away after leading 14-0 in the fourth quarter.
QUOTEBALE: "I'll take a win any way I can get it. We need more self-discipline. But we came back after the touchdown and played good defense." -- Cross Creek coach Scott Tate
