Evans, Greenbrier and Screven County each swept through their region softball tournaments last week and will be top seeds as the Georgia High School Association state tournaments begin this week.
Greenbrier's pitching carried that momentum into the Region 2-AAAAA Tournament, as the Wolfpack held their opponents scoreless through three games. Evans was nearly as dominant, outscoring its four opponents 27-2 in the Region 3-AAAA Tournament. Screven County had to battle to get through the Region 3-AA Tournament, including a 4-3 win over Bleckley County in its second game.
