PLAY OF THE GAME: In his first game as a kicker, Cross Creek's Corey Watlington hit a 29-yard field goal in overtime for the win.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Cross Creek quarterback Bryson Crouch threw two touchdowns, including a 35-yarder to Richard Crahal in the fourth quarter. Then he hit William Mitchell for two points to tie the game at 20.
WHY CROSS CREEK WON: The Razorbacks (3-5, 3-4 Region 7-A) held Richmond Academy's running game in check in the first half, taking a 12-7 lead. The Musketeers (6-3, 5-2) came alive in the second half behind Derrel Anderson and Drek Reid to lead 20-12. But Cross Creek refused to crack.
WHY RICHMOND ACADEMY LOST: David Cardaro's 29-yard field goal was blocked in overtime. But Cross Creek already had the momentum.
