MONDAY, FEB. 3: An orientation and information meeting will be held at Savannah Rapids Pavilion at 6 p.m. for prospective members of the University of Georgia Extension Service Clay Pigeon Target Sporting Program. The program is open to students in grades seven through 12, and no reservations are needed. Annual fee is $135 and includes shells, clays, trophies and competition fees to attend district and state matches. Partial scholarships are available. FRIDAY-SATURDAY: Aldersgate United Methodist Church will play host to noted outdoorsman Brent Henderson, who will present his "The Hunting Truth" seminar. The program includes a 6 p.m. wild game dinner with music and worship Friday; and an 8 a.m. breakfast Saturday followed by archery demonstrations, music and other seminar activities. All events will be held as the church's Family Life Center, 3185 Wheeler Road. Tickets are $10 for those under 22 and $20 for everyone else. SATURDAY: Phinizy Swamp Nature Park will hold a Full Moon Hike at 9 p.m. The hike lasts two hours and might cover up to 2.5 miles. Cost is $6 for Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy members, $10 for non-members. For more details, call (706) 828-2109.

FEB. 6: Augusta-Aiken Audubon will offer a trip to Tybee Island and Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. Anne Waters will leave her house about 7:30 a.m. You may come and follow her or plan to meet at the entrance of the wildlife drive off U.S. Hay. 17 in South Carolina at 10 a.m. Field trips are open at no charge to all chapter members and the public. FEB. 6-7: South Carolina will offer special waterfowl hunting opportunities to hunters 15 and younger, including access to private and public lands. The hunters are not required to have the Federal Waterfowl stamp and migratory bird permit. For more details, call (803) 734-3886.

FEB. 20: A Dawn Walk will be held at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park at 6 a.m. Don't miss the sight of light barely filtering through Spanish moss and the sound of the land coming alive with scampering wildlife, owls, and other birds.
